Dr. Julie Mattson

Veterinarian/Medical Director

Dr. Julie Mattson graduated from Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. Her special interest is internal medicine and all aspects of patient care. She enjoys the long term connections she has with people and their pets.

Dr. Sarah Blose

Veterinarian

Sarah Blose DVM, graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. She has been practicing at Terry Animal Hospital since 2009. In 2002, Dr. Blose received IVAS certification in Veterinary Acupuncture and is passionate about this integrative treatment. Her other professional interests include surgery, internal medicine, connecting with clients and their families through community education and events.

Elizabeth Shep

Practice Manager

Elizabeth joined the Terry team in 2005. She has always been passionate about helping and saving animals. She has 2 rescue kitties at home, Archer and Barry. During her free time, she enjoys game nights with her friends, traveling and reading a good book. Elizabeth is currently studying to complete her Masters Degree in Science with a concentration in Business Management.

Genevieve

Surgical Technician/Office Manager

Genevieve joined our Terry Animal Hospital family in 2007. Gen has always loved animals and was excited to find a career where she can combine that love of animals with her interest in medicine! Gen has a passion for saving animals, making all her babies rescues. She has a 10 yr old mixed breed dog named Sheridan, an 8 yr old 3 legged poodle mix named Bucky and a 25 yr old 3-toed box turtle named Minoki! Some of her interests include spending time with her husband and 2 kids, watching movies, arts and crafts, baking & cooking.

Lauren

CSR Team Lead

Lauren has always had a special connection to Terry Animal Hospital. She brought her own pets here before joining our family in 2014. Lauren has dabbled in all aspects of the hospital over the years, yet she finds the client connections at the front desk most meaningful. At home, Lauren has a never-aging kitten, Baby Cakes and a box turtle, Gussie (yes, she used to live here!). When Lauren isn’t at work, she’s spending her time outdoors; she loves nothing more than to be out in nature with her son. She also enjoys writing, traveling, trying new foods and going to concerts. Go Cubs Go!

Keith

Technician

Keith joined our family around January 2023. Before joining, Keith involved himself a lot in working with animals by becoming a dog walker, groomer and pet sitter. He was also a manager at a doggy daycare! Doing these things made him want to better his care for animals he meets. Since joining, working in veterinary medicine has given him a deeper appreciation for how amazing all living creatures are. Keith graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2020, and enjoys sewing, weaving, and drawing pet portraits in his spare time! Keith has sweet sassy Tabby Boogles and a friendly Red Eared Slider Pan!

Sachi

Technician

Sachi joined the Terry Animal Hospital family in the summer of 2021. She has always loved animals and wanted to make a difference in their lives as well as the lives of their families, and is thankful to be in a position where she can do this. When she's not working with animals, Sachi enjoys listening to music and baking.

Ian

Technician

Ian graduated from North Park University with a degree in biology. He is from Wilmette and his family has been coming to Terry Animal Hospital since he was a kid, He now works here as vet tech. His passions are zoology and ecology which he hopes to pursue one day, but at home he loves watching movies, playing guitar, and all things sci-fi/fantasy.
